    Hi Kristie,
I tried to post the other day but the site was doing weird things and wouldn't let me.
    Here goes...
Today I had for breakfast - porridge, pear and malt-free soy milk
lunch - a carrot, borlotti beans and rice and a mandarine
afternoon tea - some leftover lamb casserole and 2 rice cakes with almond spread, a punnet of strawbs (ravenous this afternoon)
dinner - fish & vegie soup, apple/pear/rhubarb crumble made with dextrose and some plain yoghurt.

This is pretty much what I've been eating most days.  I don't have wheat and am seriously limiting dairy as it gives me sinus.  But I'm finding that I just stop eating when I'm sated (this is very new for me - I am a constant grazer from way back)
I've lost a couple of kilos in the past 3 weeks.  I can feel my jeans getting loose and my skin clearing up (yay!)  Way more energy and feeling very chilled about life - a lovely feeling.
    Best of luck.
    Anthea

Hi Anthea you mentioned almond spread, would you mind letting me know which one it is, the ones I've looked at have been over the 3% sugar.

    Thanks heaps Lyn

    Hi Lyn,
I hadn't even thought about that as I don't have David's book yet...  But I just looked - it's Naturals by Melrose (0.4g total carbs per 10 g serve).  It's nothing but almonds, so unless you eat half a jar of it (which I definitely wouldn't come anywhere near!) I don't think there's any problem at all.  How do you work out the percentage sugars?
In any case it certainly hasn't triggered any cravings or relapse into sugar.
    :)

    Hi Anthea

David said in his book eat nothing over 3g of sugar, on the label on the back of the bottle, it will say sugar, look at the column that says 100g, and the line that says sugar, hopefully it is under 3g, let me know

    Thanks Lyn

Hi all, My hubby heard david on the radio a year ago and asked me to buy his book(the first book i have ever seen him read) and he started reading and was so passionate about it. A year on after an email from david about the new book and website membership I joined up.Starting the book myself tomorrow so will see what it is all about. Came home from work today and hubby was re reading the book so seems he is keen to which helps. He has quite a sweet tooth so will be interesting to see how he goes with it all.Great to have this forum to get tips from the old hands.Heres to a healthier happier life for us all. Kara-jane

Oops, you're right - 4g per 100g.  Oh well, that's that then.  But the tahini is fine - that's only 1g (yay!). Tahini and vegemite is a lovely combination too.  Thanks for the advice.

I checked the soy milk too today as David says not to have it, but the brand I buy is Pureharvest malt-free and its 0.7 per 100ml so I figure that's okay..
