Health food shops are the best source, I found.  I ended up having to order it online, but it lasts forever, I only use it once a week, tops ( for dessert for a family dinner ).

I needto find some outlets in Adelaide for dextrose etc so I can experiment with baking - perhaps this will be on my agenda when we get back in August.'

    Thanks again

    Hi again Sharon
If you click on the link below, you will see a directory of all the Home Brew shops in and around Adelaide, they will all sell dextrose for home beer making and it's much cheaper than any other supplier.

You will be surprised by the reaction from friends and family when you produce dextrose sweetened goodies, they won't be able to tell the difference between these and the sugar sweetened ones.
I have made David's chocolate mouse, vanilla ice cream, baked and unbaked cheesecake, white chocolate bavarois and various biscuits and cakes and no one has noticed. Except I am not poisoning them any more.

I just don't have them very often as dextrose is as high in calories as sugar. But they are such a treat when I do.

You are doing so well, the headache will pass, and then you will be able to enjoy all the benefits being sugar free will bring you.

Have a great holiday, I have only 10 days left of mine.

    cheers
    Freda
