Just found this oil in the supermarket & have found it to be a great salad dressing.  It has no sugar according to the label.

Hello Anne - Thanks for this. I found some in the supermarket yesterday (finally remembered to get it) and it's wonderful on salad. You don't need anything else with it and I love the hint of lime. I hadn't yet found a suitable replacement for my balsamic salad dressing - though I was mixing mainly olive oil and mustard seeds with a small amount of balsamic in the end when I realized why it was so tasty (sugar of course) and only used about 2 teaspoons of the mix on my salad. But this is a wonderful alternative so thank you for enlightening us all.

    Cheers - Janet

This sound nice.  What section is it in?  My Daughter is about to go sugar free and she lives on Balsamic vinegar on her salads.  We like avocada what does it taste like.

I found it in Woolies Jan. It was in the oil section and on the top shelf - it's in a tall square bottle (think HP sauce shape if I remember from my childhood). There was plain avocardo and avocardo with lime. As I was looking for something with a bit of flavour, I went with the lime one. It's a rich oil with a greenish tinge. Lime oil (as opposed to juice) and avocardo oil are the only ingedients. I sprinkled a good teaspoon full over a large salad and you could certainly taste the lime. Very pleasant. I'm happy to use it as is for an easy dressing but will also experiment with a small amount of nice vinegar with some whole mustard seeds added (like I use to add to the balsamic concoction -  put in a small jar and shake together) at a later date.

Thanks for this! i'll check it out.

One teaspoon of balsamic vinegar is OK, and that should be all you really need on salads. The one i get from Aldi, has 1.2g of sugar per 10mls-which is the serving size (which is about a teaspoon) so that's less than 1g of fructose per serving.
