... this great find from Alan: ... fructose free chocolate - unfortunately it has to come all the way from Germany, so one bar will set you back $10! (including shipping) ... but for the true chocoholics that should be no problems ... many other great fructose free foods on this site also:

Thanks for sharing this!  I don't really miss chocolate much, but it's good to know there are options out there that are fructose free that aren't full of the artificial sweeteners.

Yes thanks for sharing! I had a look at the cereal section of the store which stocks a brand of cereal I see at my local grocer: Krunchy-Pur. It says that one of the ingredients is rice syrup which, after a trip to Wikipedia, apparently contains 45% maltose, 3% glucose, and 52% maltotriose. I guess this is ok? Anyone else notice that some of the sugar percentages don't seem to add up?

My family loves pancakes for Sunday breakfasts and we used to have them oozing in maple syrup til I read Sweet Poison!  I have been on the hunt for a replacement and I think I have the answer!  Rice Malt Syrup in the health food section of your supermarket tastes great and is pure glucose.  It now replaces honey and maple syrup in my pantry!

    FRUSANO CHOCOLATE!! A SUCCESS!!!!

Me and my mum went onto the Frusano site and ordered some dark and milk chocolate, chocolate spread and these chocolate rice crispies. We ordered them all the way from Germany (no comment on the  postage :P). They arrived in a condition of haveing been melted then hardened again.

The chocolate spread was a little bit of a let down, it tastes more like a really really really bitter chocolate, with a slight flavour that we can't put our finger on. But, mixed in with a bit of cream would be nice.

The biscuits are yum, just like chocolate melted over puffed rice. There good, but not worth getting sent from Germany.

Now, the chocolate. IT IS AMAZING!! Exactly the same as ordinary chocolate. Worth it. Definately.
