Could one of you wise people out there help me out with figuring from the NIP how much trans fat there is in a product ie I have a tub of Devondale Dairy Soft premium quality MADE WITH BUTTER dairy blend and the panel tells me FAT - Total per 100g......81.0g - saturated per 100g ......40.9g so that gives me 121.9g total fat, how much of this would be trans fat???
Hi Margaret,
I don't know a great deal about fats, but if Total Fat is 81g/100g and Saturated Fat is 40.9/100g then the balance of fats would be 40.1g (I presume that would be mostly unsaturated fat, but may also include some Trans Fats)
Hope this helps a bit.
