Just how much does one eat of these things that are allowable?  I have been totally off sugar for one week but see no change in my weight so does this mean i am eating too much?  I have read all these notes and the book twice but have not found anywhere some kind of guide to what one can eat during a day..can someone help??

Remember how David talks about eating when you are hungry?  You are going to learn to listen to your body, this is so different from a diet with quantities you follow regardless of how your body feels.

Once off sugar and through withdrawal experiment with getting a bit hungrier, you'll find you can last longer with a lot less desperation . Try eating a bit less than usual as well, and see how you go. If you get hungry EAT, but not too much. It's really that simple.

Keep reading the book, I found all I needed to know there. It's different from most diet books isn't it!

hi June I have been sugar free for a bout 10/12 weeks ihave only lost 4kg and a excercise 5/6x week at the gym i really need to lose another 10/12kg anyway i initially didnt concern myself with food amount just concnetrated on no sugar (REALLY IMPORTANT) like whenever felt hungry ate plain crisps lots of nuts and burgen rye bread with real butter these were my snacks.... but about 7 weeks in my appetite changed completley no cravings its like WOW my life has changed you really will need to concentrate on low carbs the four kg has come off probably the last 5 weeks you just dont feel hungry. typical day for me is

BREAKFAST- skim milk ususally frozen berries low carb vanilla protein powder ice in blender... also fozen mango cheek is awsome or even ripe banana all make a great protein shake yes it has sugar But good sugar this fills me for longer than any other breaky

LUNCH- usually wraps check NIP I like mountain bread with cold meat usually chicken salad, and smidge of paul newmans aoli in jar  you can toast the wraps whatever... or a salad or a soup

DINNER-meat and veg I quite often have mushrooms with cream made into sauce(lets face it things still have to taste nice)for over my meat fish& cous cous these meals are usually easy  if you think your portion sizes to large you will eventually find that will change.....trust me this comes from the overeater QUEEN.

SNACKS- nuts try only 5/10 to start you can always go back for more...another is a protein shake once again ypu can use skim milk or water(water being lower fat) but I find not as filling a good one is 1 cup skim milk 5 ice cubes instand coffee powder and blend YUMM. choice is enless for them just use good fruit options frozen fruit is always great.   a boiled egg is a good snack I always have a couple on hand in the fridge ready to go (very filling). 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1/2 frozen mango cheek chopped in it(defrosted) very nice you may have guessed I live south and inland fresh fruit not readily available although I find the frozen product awsome.

this is just some suggestion I hope they help just dont beat yourself up I was very sceptical but no more bloating some days was like i was 8 month preggars but thats gone and its true its like my life has changed I had tried everything before to loose wieght i know this may take some time for it to happen but I actually feel in control never experienced that before I just know it will slowly whittle away maybe I think it will take me 12/18 months to drop the 10kg but I know it will come off without any starving.. may need to kerb the carbs..... and thats it hang in there it really is worth it. MY LIFE IS CHANGED. Im sure you will get the results you are hoping for
