Margarine

    David implies that margarine is not good for us [Quit Plan 114-6] calling it a "chemical experiment". As far as I can tell he does not provide any evidence to support this assertion. But describes experiments which demonstrate that saturated fat will do no harm once your appetite control system is functioning properly.

    My wife has a chronic cholesterol condition and strenuously avoids saturated fats on doctor's orders. She is not overweight and has a very effective appetite control system - her "Plimsoll Line" as she calls it :-)

    I'd like to avoid dual-version pantry stocks if possible. So before I start on that I'd like to have some evidence of what harm margarine does.

    The same consideration applies to "lite" vs full-cream milk.
