I've got another label conundrum. We had an organic spelt chicken & vege pie for dinner, and it has no added sugar, but has 15g sugar/100g.
The ingredients are: Organic wholemeal spelt flour, seat salt, filtered water, pepper, organic carrot, organic chicken, non-hydronated palm oil, organic unsalted butter, organic onion.
So is this ok or not? And why is the sugar so high? Is it because it has carbohydrates in it?
Can you ignore the grams of sugar/100g if you are sure there is no fructose in it?
Thanks in advance.
