    Hi,

Has anybody understood by working out the percentage list from the Best/Worse of 10 of Breads, Sweet Biscuits, Muesli Bars, Yogurt, Breakfast Cereals, & Crackers) as I need a list like A Teaspoon Guide to Australian Sweet Biscuits 2008 in the complete list on page 2 onwards. How many grams of sugar = a percentage?

Thanks this will help when I go shopping.

You should find the details you want under "Sugar Guides"  on the home page www.howmuchsugar.com

grams-per-100g  IS the percentage. Both for sugar (except yogurt) and polyunsaturated fat, less than 2% is a safe general guide. For yogurt it's 5%

Thanks John that's where I got the details from the Sugar Guide, but it would be helpful to know the weight of the breads, etc... regarding the percentages to know how much sugar is in every brand.

In the Members Section there is a guide to breads: http://www.howmuchsugar.com/Resources/Documents/2014%20Fructose%20Free%20Guide%20AUS%20Breads.pdf Download the pdf  file.

To answer your question (a) check the NIP  on the bred packet and the weight of the loaf is also on the pack. Multiply them together to get the grams of sugar in the loaf and divided by 2  to give an approximation to the fructose content.

Or just stick to "less than 2% " :-)

My hunch is that there's not much sugar in breads, except fruit loaf, which get the fructose from the fruit.
