There could be a number of explanations, and a pound isn't a lot :-)
- It's very much an individual thing.
- It doesn't happen overnight, or in one or two weeks
- When your appetite-control system is working you will gravitate towards the weight which is right for your particular body. You may already be close to that.But there are lots of other good reasons to avoid fructose, as you know..

- Have you kept a "fructose diary" for a couple of weeks? Using the tables and graphs in Davids book, a kitchen scale and reading the labels of EVERYTHING you eat during the period, you can determine how many grams/day of fructose you are taking in.If it exceeds 10g you need to make some adjustments.
- Another good source of the fructose content of foods sold in Australia is http://www.foodstandards.gov.au/science/monitoringnutrients/nutrientables/nuttab/Pages/default.aspx, aka NUTTAB
- David also sells a booklet of sugar contents, which is available from his web sites. If fructose is not mentioned specifically, it is safe to assume that it is about 50% of "sugars", especially in relation to processed foods.
- Some time ago David suggested to overcome unexpected weight gain, it may pay to go "low-carb" for a few weeks.
