In davids lastest "the 2014 shoppers guide" he talks about yogurt . Saying that the Nestle Soleil yoghurt is good yoghurt to eat as it  has no adjusted sugar and only 4.1 %sugar (which is lactose ). But if u read the ingredients it contains reconstitued cherry juice ...... i thought this was a no no ..... would be interested in the answer .

Yoghurts generally contain 4.7%  lactose (or it's derivative). Any "sugars"  above that are likely to be from added sugar or fruit.  So as long as the total "sugars"  are under 5%  or so it should be OK..And since up to 2% "sugars"  is acceptable in processed foods,  I suppose a total of 7%  is OK for yoghurt, especially if you are not eating it by the bucketful :-(

Drinking any form of fruit juice s like drinking fat. It's concentrated fructose.
I thought were were talking about yoghurt,so I'm confused.
I don't understand what you mean here : "4.1 well below the allowed amour" Do you mean  above ?

hey john , in this yoghurt that David says is good , it has reconstituted juice in it ..... and from reading his previous books i thought any juice was a no no , i hope that is clearer. The yoghurt is 4.1% sugar  , ( and the first 4.7grms of lactose in sugar) is essentially pure glucose and fructose free. it is on page 34 of his new book .

There are only 3 criteria that matter:
    1. You ingest less than 10g  of fructose daily.
2.You feel full at the end of every meal.
    3. Your weight is decreasing or steady.

As Davids says "Eat what you like when you like, as long as it contains (little or ) no fructose".
