Barley Malt Syrup

    I have been unable to find Rice Malt Syrup in Auckland and purchased Barley Malt Syrup. They also had Rice Syrup (no malt mentioned). Both very high in 'sugar' on the label.  Would either be a comparison to Rice Malt Syrup and ok to use?

    I don't know about barley syrup, but I believe rice malt syrup and rice syrup are the same thing, so go for it.  High 'sugar', but it's all glucose, no fructose.  A reasonable substitute for honey.
