I have just become a member and signed up for automatic renewal. I have been checking out the sugar guides and noticed that they are from 2008-2009. Don't you update them every year? And if not, what are the advantages of an automatic renewal, if I'm just going to get the same thing again next year? Sorry if this is a bit direct, but I do wonder if I should have just gone with the 1 year sub. All the information is fantastic BTW. I feel I got value for my money but if it's gonna stay the same for the next 12 months, what incentive will I have to renew my subscription in 12 months?

    Hello Jen and welcome
I have a membership that I manually renew every year.

So far, I've renewed twice. I stay on this site because of this forum. I find it interesting to chat to others on the forum and exchange ideas. I don't think I've ever looked at the sugar guides. I have found out enough to guide me in David's books and then, after reading the nutrition labels on the things I buy, I find I don't need outside help. David's Facebook page is where everything is updated and he can even be asked questions, which he will answer.

So, I can only say to you that, personally, I feel this is value for money for the forum alone. And sometimes a recipe gets added. But I am hanging out for David's new recipe book that comes out at the end of April.

So, let your membership run for the first year and see if you feel it's worth it. And if you don't, then cancel it.
    cheers

    Thanks Freda!!!
Now that you mention it, I have gotten heaps out of the forum, so I'll take your advise and when the renewal comes up, I'll review it then.

As I said in my original post, I do feel I've gotten my moneys worth so far :-D Thanks for replying and have a great night!

Freda, I agree with Jenny, I had hoped David would have updated a few more categories by now. Especially like Mcdonalds who change their menu every couple of years. And I now wonder about the Cracker Biscuit section, now that David has written Toxic Oil. Face book is for non members as well as members, so for an annual membership I expect a lot more up to date info. I read the sugar Guides like a bible and have a list of top tens I carry in my bag at all times. I also read the labels, but having a list in my bag saves me a great amount of time when shopping.

Im pleased I only took the one year sub.  What is the use of paying  money for THIS site if David is answering questions on face book ?????  what have we paid for - the odd recipie.  It would be really nice please David if we heard from you now and again on YOUR  web site and keep us up to date,  considering money has been paid.

    Many thanks

I ,too,am a disgruntled Person about  having paid money and don't feel I am getting anything for it.
I have read the letters and they are so old.It is May 2013 and some of these questions go way back.
So disappointing. I started my own journey(sugar free) on Feb 20th this year and so far have managed to lose 3.8kgs.
Today is a cold overcast day and I can't seem to lift my mood, and I have had 1cup of cocoa and 1 cup of coffee this afternoon. My energy is non existent.

I have been sugar free since June last year, and paid to access this site. I am really happy with the information that I have been able to access, the recipes, the guides, these have all helped me in getting sugar free. I have been overweight for so many years, and to have lost 19kg is awesome. This has been money well spent. I have even started my own website to pay it forward to help more people get sugar free. I even spend time in supermarkets checking for new products in New Zealand.

Good luck with your new sugar free life.

    Hello Gary
I think I've seen you on the Sweet Poison Facebook page making comments.  Good luck with your own website, I'm sure it will do well. I saw both David's new cookbook and Sarah Wilson's book on the ten top sellers  Non Fiction list in the Sydney morning Herald last week.

I've been sugar free just over Two and a quarter years now and am so grateful for all the help I've had, both online and from the books. I've come to a point at last, when my weight has stabilized..........I lost 15kilos in all and I'm satisfied.
My weight had been out of control all my life.............since I was in my mid twenties........... until I quit sugar.

My health has improved a hundred per cent.........not bad eh.....for a nearly 72 year old?

    cheers
    Freda
