Ask yourself why you went back to sugar after quitting smoking. BTW, how did you go about doing that?
You may have stopped smoking but it looks like you haven't stopped the habit. . . . . . . replacing one bad habit with another. . Maybe you should see a counsellor [aka psychologist] to resolve any emotional issues.
You may also find the Smokenders quit-smoking progam helpful - it can help with any deeply embedded habituation.
