Yes, Nadine, you're right again, I was. Coconut oil is the best oil for us, but the other one is hydrogenated & is 98% saturated fat. It's the way it's extracted, I guess.
Here's a site about it, link here:-

    http://www.organicsaustraliaonline.com.au/prod5880.htm

as you can see, it's the real deal, & $24.80 per litre, before the shipping costs!!!

Here's another site, talking about the health benefits of coconut oil, link here:-

    http://products.mercola.com/coconut-oil/

Here's the (bad oil) on copha, see the second entry on this forum, (also look at wikipedia.)

Thanks for the recipe for chocolate it is really nice. Great that it uses coconut oil. I added about half a cup of whole hazelnuts and about half a cup of dessicated coconut. Helps with the chocolate cravings. Must be kept in fridge as mine did not seem to set really hard.

    Home made nut chocolate

    60g coconut oil

2 tblpns organic rice malt syrup

    2 tblpns milk powder

    3 tblspns cocoa

    1 tspn vanilla essence

lots of any sort of nuts

Just melt coconut oil (won't take much) then add the rest - refrigerate.

I tried this one and it turned out nice and hard, but I did keep it in the fridge.

Hi Nadine, just a question about rice syrup. Is there any difference between rice malt syrup and rice syrup?

Hi, Aleina. No, I don't think they are different. Just make sure you check out the ingredients list to make sure there is no added sugar. The Pure Harvest brand is made from Organic brown rice, with maltose and enzymes and some glucose, all of which are ok, no fructose. Here's the link to their site:-

    http://www.pureharvest.com.au/product/organic-rice-syrup

You can use it in place of, honey, treacle, Maple syrup, Agave syrup, golden syrup, all of which are high in fructose......I love it on porridge.
