    Hello there,

I am chasing a recipe for baked beans.  Every recipe i've found has at least a tablespoon of Maple syrup - or more.  Heinze Baked Beans seems quite high in sugar (above 6%).

    Would appreciate any pointers.

Just substitute dextrose powder where it calls for sugar or maple syrup.  basic ingredients onion, beans, tomato puree, soy or tamari, dextrose, bay leaf, bacon if you like it.
    easy peasy!
