    Hi, my name is Bev.

After listening to an interview on the ABC radio interviewing David Gillespi (of whom I had never heard of) I decided to seek out the book he was talking about. I have since bought all of the books and now on day 6 of no sugar. I am finding I am so tired all the time.

Every time I put the kettle on or sit down to watch a movie I am seeking the nut container that now replaces other treats I used to reach for. I am a little concerned about the amount I am consuming as I have already gained 1.5kg of weight.

Its early days but at the moment I am not feeling very fantastic. I guess it is different for everyone. My parents and some friends think I have lost the plot when I told them I had thrown nearly all the contents of my pantry out into the wheelie bin.

I am really looking forward to turning the corner of feeling healthy and full of energy as at the moment I am struggling.

    Bev

It won't take long Bev, stick with it, it's so worth it not to be hungry and a slave to your cravings all the time.

    Thanks Tracey,

Its hard when your the only one, well it feels that way when the family just does not get it.

My partner Kevin has been picking up the books lately, so who knows he may see the light.

Bev, I would say you need to be careful not to go crazy on the nuts, that IS a good way to put on weight.  I am hoping to be a guiding light to my partner and family in all this, but the first step to doing that, is them seeing that you're losing weight and happy about it.  I lost 10 kg the first month, but, I made a conscious decision to eat three meals a day and that's all, until my appetite control started to tell me that was all I needed ( I was lucky, that only took 3 days ).
