    Hi Everyone

I'm new to the sugar free lifestyle.  I've purchased 2 of David's books and found them so enligtening.  I'm now into my fourth week of no sugar and feel so much better already.  Prior to removing sugar from my diet I was suffering from hot flushes quite a bit (I'm at that age) and since starting I've probably only experienced them a couple of times and they were very mild -Yay!!  I'm still finding the label reading very daunting especially since I'm looking for sugar as well as seed oils etc. to avoid.  Unfortunately I've lost no weight but have taken heart from another member ('can't remember her name) that has also never found "the weight has just fallen off" and I'm actually doing this to be healthy not skinny so I've got plenty of time ( I'm about 8 kilos overweight).  Could anyone direct me to some tasty recipes for main meals. Pre sugar I've used a lot of packet seasoning etc. but have found them so full of sugar.  Also is it ok to use Campbells stock and stock powder, tomato paste and also french onion and chicken noodle soup in the dried packet forms?  They don't seem to have much sugar however I'm not sure.

Check the recipes on this web site.

And look at the suggestions on diabetes:

Re sugars - the names of the goodies and the baddies are often indistinguishable from memory. So its a good idea to take David's lists shopping with you. There's a "pocketbook version" available here

More detail at Sweet Poison Quit Plan p55. The goodies metabolize as glucose and the baddies as fructose, or worse :-(

If you need a recipe I've got it lol. I've got just about every recipe to make things from scratch.  Although some things do take time and you can cut down on time by preparing things ahead and freezing them.  Over on the free forum site there is a section for recipes and there are hundreds of them http://sweetpoison.myfreeforum.org/forum4.php so if there is anything in particular you need just let us know! Also I love looking on www.taste.com.au just type in what you want, it's a great website and they have an app too!
