I finally understand why i have always failed at omitting sugar from my life- i have tried so many times to stop and knew i was addicted, but i couldnt figure out how to maintain my sugar free life!  I used to quit and stay off it for at least 6 months (once it was for 1.5yrs) then i would have a little something with sugar in it and give up.
After reading the Sweet Poison Quit plan i now understand its for life and also about my cravings, and so here I am-about to embark on yet another journey- for the final time.  I start tomorrow.  Why? Well i have friends over for dinner tonight and they are bringing food so i don't want to stuff up the first day i quit.
I am also going to have my husband and children join me on this journey which should be an interesting few weeks ahead as i believe my 3 year old is well and truly addicted to it as well considering how much fruit he eats not to mention the soy milk and yoghurt he loves!

Hi Gab, good on you.  I totally relate - been on and off the stuff for years.  My husband and two boys are joining me to.  The boys have been off it for a week now (apart from a kids birthday party, which was actually pretty mild on the sugar front) and I noticed an almost immediate difference.  One child's asthma disappeared 24hrs after giving up sugar, and the other one's mood has been so much better (no tantrums for a week now - amazing!)  I've been off it for a month now and I feel so good.  Not losing a huge amount of weight yet (a bit) but feeling a million dollars (and that's what counts the most for me).
    Best of luck!
