After dinner I like to make myself a pot of nice tea, I love all sorts of tea so have a cupboard full of variety. With this I microwave a couple of pappadams and then nibble on these, it replaces the habit of snacking on something sweet and I am happy.
Hope this idea helps :)
Hi Nicole
How do you microwave pappadams. Is one brand better than others.
Hi Jan,
Pappadums are super easy, I usually just place 2-4 on the glass tray in the microwave and microwave for about 25 seconds. The directions on the packets say to microwave from 45-60 seconds but in my microwave that would burn them, you want them so they are just cooked and puffed up. Once you figure out your microwave they will be a super easy and yummy snack.
FYI ingredients in Maharajah's Choice Pappadams - Garlic (which I have at the moment) are Urid flour (usually ground lentils), vege oil, rice flour, spices, salt and raising agent (sodium bicarb). There are a couple of other brands, all fairly similar so I either buy on price or just to have a different brand.
Hope this helps,
Nicole
