My son has a rare enzyme deficiency: Sucrase Isomaltase Deficiency. He doesn't have the enzymes to break down sucrose (table sugar) and to break down starch. I am constantly disgusted with the amount of sugar put unnecessarily into products and I am always reading the sugar part of the nutritional panel. I am glad you are creating public awareness about sugar in products. Most people don't read labels and would be surprised to discover that many savoury products such as crisps, soups and tinned vegetables have sugar added.

David, when you are compiling information, I am interested in the amount of sucrose in products (my son is fine with fructose, lactose, and glucose). Perhaps, if you have the information, the sugar percentages could be broken down into these categories?
