Hello, my name is Nicole Foss and I have been interested in this field for a while, after finding it extremely frustrating that daily trips to the gym burning hundreds of calories a day were not resulting in much weight loss.

I came a cross a link to some very recent research today that I thought people here might find interesting:

Heat Forms Potentially Harmful Substance In High-fructose Corn Syrup, Bee Study Finds

It appears that heating HFCS to only 120 degrees F leads to the creation of hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF), which has been linked to DNA damage in humans, and would therefore be potentially carcinogenic. Its breakdown products in the body appear to be even worse.

Also, here is a link I came across in my hunt for a Canadian dextrose supplier:

Welcome Nicole and thanks for the links ... the heating thing is very interesting indeed ... Its on my list (of stuff to research) - if it kills bees then its unlikely to be doing us any favours either!

    Cheers

    David.
