Hi All - So day 2 no sugar.  Cleaned out the kitchen today and now it's bare!!! I know it's a good thing.  It's been particularly challenging as I have also quit the cigarettes (been a week now) and normally there was nothing that I did more when quitting smoking than eating sugar (of all kinds).  Today has been y hardest day and I feel exhausted and to be honest a little irritable right now but I am hopeful it will get better.

I have 30 kilos to loose and am worried that I am going to fail again, but I am more determined and will continue to seek inspiration from this website.

    So anyway hi everyone.

Onya Tiff - you really do like a challenge!!  If you want some help with quitting smoking, check out http://www.smokenders.com.au/   Give them a call.  I quit via this program on 24 November 1986!  And have never had any cravings since.  It also available as an American-based online course at www.http://smokenders.org/

The desire for a cigarette last less than 5 minutes . . .  so distract yourself for that time and it will go away for a while.  If you need some support while quitting email me at johnatwauchope@gmail.com.

    Hi All

So it's now day 11 (ish) and I am feeling pretty good.  I have managed to ge through the withdrawals although I think if I am not careful I could easily slip, I have noticed some breakouts on my skin and I am starting to feel more energetic.  I am still amazed at how much of the food I consumed before had hidden sugars.  I am a label reading nazi now!!

I weighed myself this morning (was too curious to avoid it) and i have lost a kilo so am fairly happy about that.

Anyway I will keep going and look forward to feeling even better.
