you may want to check that barley sugar you have, any of those glucose lollies etc actually contain not only glucose but sugar as well so you are still getting a % of fructose. As for non savoury snacks, there is a few things you could have, although some may contain artifical sweetners so depending if you are having them or not. Things like low calorie jelly, you can whip some cream add a splash of vanilla and cocoa powder, yoghurt (Tamar Valley have a nice no sugar range). You need to watch out for products that claim to have no added sugar, reasons being there is always another sweetner that has been added so you need to check what that is and see if it's acceptable. If you bake you can make up heaps of things yourself, I make up cakes and muffins all the time (mainly for the kids lunch boxes), I make up a batch of something and freeze them into portions.
