    Hi there,
I am on day 6 of my new no sugar eating plan.
I have read with interest a lot of the entries and I am encouraged by everyone's success.
I need to lose 25kg. I have lost 600gms so far...my daughter has joined me on this quest as we both have a sweet tooth.
Unfortunately I grew up with the reward of cakes or choc biscuits for treats and its stuck.
Reading Sweet Poison over Christmas has given me a great incentive and I'm going to try and break the cycle for my kids too.
Side effects haven't been too bad..lots of tiredness.
    Will keep you posted.

I am now in my 8th week and have lost roughly 5kg.
It is now very easy to keep on track and I'm feeling better..not as many headaches.
I'm cooking a lot more and having cake/banana bread/muffins around that I've baked using glucose so that I never feel like breaking my fructose free regime.
I haven't really worked out the yoghurt thing because they all seem to have high sugar ??
Can someone tell me a brand I can buy that is OK to eat ? I've just stopped having it.
Have ordered my fructose free easter eggs so that I won't feel deprived..I think that's the key.
There is nothing you can't have..you just have to work out how to make it so that its OK for you.
Good luck to all those newbies who have started in March.
Frusana is the fructose free chocolate you can buy..you may need it to get thru Easter.

Hello friends!  I love yoghurt and have never eaten it with fruit or sweetened in any way.  Someone gave me a yoghurt maker and now that is what I use constantly.  It's called EasiYo and to start off you buy the powder and add water.  All the instructions are on the packet, just watch you don't pick up the low-fat variety if you are like me and love your full-cream stuff.  There is a Greek one and an ordinary one.  (No sugar of course).  I keep on recycling now, substituting two heaped tablespoons from the old lot to kick the new one into action.  Add in one heaped cup of full cream milk powder, then the cool water and eureka you're on your way again.  EasiYo and powders all available at my local Woollies, including the flask to make it in as well as the yoghurt powder.
To everyone coming on board, just keep up the good work.  You will get to dislike the taste of anything sweet, it really is revolting.  We also gave away honey.  A chemist friend mentioned that the mummies from ancient Egypt had no teeth when unearthed centuries later... can you guess why?  The ruling class, the ones who could afford to be mummified ate HONEY!  Rotted their teeth, so steer away from honey, as David writes, it is also nearly as bad as cane sugar.
