Both my husband and I have started to kick the sugar habit. My husband works FIFO and choice of food at times is poor, hopefully by not having sugar we will both be able to lose weight, how long should it be before we can expect to see results.
I have purchased the Sweet Poison Book, amazing how dangerous sugar can be.

For me, I lost 10 kg in a month and 16 in two.  I've been this weight ever since.  But, losing weight is not really the core thing here, the core thing is that even if you can eat lots of sugar and stay thin ( as I did for years ), it's still making you sick.  You should expect to lose weight, but you should not 'choose a number', you should stick to it and see where you end up, because that's finding out your bodies ideal weight, not choosing a number based on what society tells you you should be, and trying to achieve it.  There's no trying here, you eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full, so it's not a matter of starving yourself and then suffering MORE to lose more weight.

    Good luck !!

I eat mushrooms and sometimes proscuitto for breakfast.  Toast with cheese for lunch, most of the time.  Dinners, I cook fish or meat, no sauces, and steam veggies.  If you want specific advice, if you let us know what sort of things you tend to eat in a day, then we can offer suggestions as to if there's any sugar lurking in there :-)
