Breakfast is one slice wholegrain toast 1/2 with a poached egg, half with 1/2 sliced apple. coffee with skim milk (can`t do the whole milk).
Lunch two Ryvita one with avacardo one with cheese or tuna, 1/2 apple or kiwi fruit
Dinner: fish or chicken stir fry or with a salad. Dessert 2tbs plain yoghurt (not low fat) with 1/2 an apple.
I never snack - never have.
Alcoholwise I have a small glass of dry white wine with lunch (well it`s 5 o`clock somewhere in the world), one when I am cooking dinner and one with dinner and that`s it.
I do have Hypothyroidism but am on Thyroxin to stabalize that.
If anyone has got any idea what I`m doing wrong pleeeeze tell me as I`m almost ready to give it away.
However I have to say the above diet is OK with me and I don`t feel deprived.
Although on the odd occasion I`d probably kill for a biscuit.
Hey, Jann, you must be feeling a little frustrated right about now. I get it!! I am assuming you've done your research on do's & don't for your condition? If not, here's a very good link I found for you, here:-

You should be having 6 small meals a day, for one thing. You may have to count calories, too, as part of your condition......I would just do this, making sure you're not eating anything with fructose. Appleas are rather high in fructose, I would limit theae to 1 a week, maybe, try berries, they are low, and some of the ladies on the forum will attest that Greek style yoghurt with some crushed berries, & maybe a little sweetener, such as dextrose or Rice Malt syrup, in it is delicious. Not tried it myself, but I have read that yoghurt is very good for us.
I wish you well, see if there is something new you can pick up from that diet, good luck, Jann. I do hope you can find a solution, otherwise, all I can say is, do some exercise & keep on doing what you're doing, and, depending how much weight you have to lose, well, it won't happen overnight, but it will happen. Remember how long it took to put it on? lol....patience, dear Jann, patience, but above all, don't give up!!

Dear Jann,
The foods you are eating sound exactly the same as my daily routine and I too have hypothyroidism, maybe get that re-checked, your dose might need upping. When I had mine reviewed and increased I noticed I lost a little more weight. Is the tuna you're eating a plain type, not flavoured with sweet chilli or tomato etc. Is the Ryvita the plainest? I also stay away from apples and have gone over to berries, pears and kiwi fruit. Not all at once! I only have the occasional dry white when out for dinner, as there's still plenty of calories in alcohol.....
And I totally agree with Silver Angel, it wont happen over night, I've never been too heavy, but over the years had crept up to 73kg, I knew for me thats way too much, in Jan 2010 decided to get it under control. It's taken a long time but I've lost 10kg and feel soo much better.
Good luck and dont think of it as a diet but rather a healthier way of life
